Where the donations go

We target 2% of product sales for charity, and we show you exactly which charities get it. We look for ones that operate ethically and don't pay huge CEO salaries. Right now our focus is animal welfare, and our first donation went to Border Tails Rescue.

The first donation

Border Tails Rescue, Northbrook, IL, Q2 2026

Thank you so much to everyone who has purchased any Glass Nutrition products. Happy to say the first donation, as promised a direct portion of sales and not profits, has been made to Border Tails Rescue, a local charity where I had the privilege of going and getting to know the staff. They were awesome.

It is a no-kill shelter, so they often take in a high number of dogs. In the effort of continued transparency, the donation was $300 plus another $250 from my side, for a total of $550, or 5.5% of the first $10,000 in sales. I know it's nothing crazy, but I'm proud of it given the size of the small business. I also think it's important for you to see the type of impact you can have just by voting with your dollar.

Why we choose the charities we do

Whenever possible, we visit and vet a charity in person before donating. When that isn't possible, we look for organizations that don't pay their executives or board members large salaries out of donor money, keep a clear paper trail of how funds are spent, have a strong reputation and track record, and show impact we can actually see. Most of our giving goes toward animal welfare, a cause close to my heart because animals endure so much suffering, can't help themselves, and are too often overlooked. That focus isn't fixed, though, and we'll direct donations wherever they can do the most good.

How it works

We believe you have a right to know exactly where donations go, since you're the one who makes them possible. That's why we share the details: the dates, the exact charities and the amounts.

Our 2% target

2% of product sales is our target, and right now every order gives it. Giving from sales, not profits, is a big commitment for a company our size, and it means a lot to us.

With tight margins as a small business, it’s a hard number to sustain, so we can’t promise it will never change. We’ll always do the best we can. As of now this target has been met.

Where it goes

Charities we name, every time, in the list below. Right now our focus is animal welfare.

How we choose

We look to partner with ethical charities that are fiscally responsible with each dollar that comes in. Bonus if we can visit locations in person.

How often

Counted on every order. GoodAPI, our donation platform, adds up the 2% from each order and sends it to the charity we name.

Q2 2026 Border Tails Rescue (opens in a new tab)Northbrook, IL $550.00 USDFirst $10,000 in sales

For the first donation, $300 came from sales and the founder personally added $250, for $550 in total: 5.5% of our first $10,000 in sales. We made this one directly. Donations after it go through GoodAPI.

Glass Nutrition gives 2% of product sales to charity. The 2% is worked out on what you pay for the products themselves. It doesn't include shipping, tax or other charges. Refunded orders aren't counted as sales, so they don't count toward the 2%.

Glass Nutrition decides which charities receive donations. Donations are sent through GoodAPI, our donation platform, which works with Our Change Foundation, a nonprofit that makes grants to the charities we name. Donations are paid for by Glass Nutrition, so your purchase isn't a tax-deductible donation. Naming a charity on this page doesn't mean it endorses our products. We may change the percentage or end the program for future orders. If we do, we’ll update the site before the change takes effect, and orders placed before the change still give at the rate shown when you ordered.
